Hokkaido is welcoming a warm spring. Sapporo area has way more snow in
March than usual.
On a warm day or a rainy day, landslides, avalanches, floods can occour
any moment so you have to be cautious. Don't stay in a bottle neck part
of the river.
Rivers and streams running in lowland or less snowy areas can be fishable.
Most lakes are fishable as long as ice is gone and acess to the water is
available. Early spring is always the best time for big fish. Streamer
is the best bet.
In saltwater amemasu and cherry salmon are in full swing.
Many rivers in Honshu and other areas have been open. Midges, wet flies,
streamers and nymphs are used in cold water.
We picked up some typical seasonal patterns here. These flies don't work
all the time everywhere, as it depends of each situation.

北海道に春が訪れようとしています。昨年よりも3月の雪の量がはるかに多いように感じます。
暖かい日、雨の日は土砂崩れ、雪崩、洪水等が予想されます。十分に注意してください。下流域は釣りになるような透明度ではないかもしれません。
平野を流れる川、雪の少ない地域などは大規模な雪解けが入らなければ、釣りができます。ストリーマー、ミッジ、ウェット、ニンフからドライに向かっていきます。雪解けが始まる前は、暖かい日にドライフライでの釣りも可能です。
湖は氷が解けて、アクセスができる限り、すでに釣りが可能です。大物のチャンスです。大きなストリーマーで狙います。
海ではアメマス、サクラマスの時期です。
本州以南では解禁された川も多く、ミッジ、ウェット、ストリーマー、ニンフの釣りが始まっています。
