In America there is famous worm pattern called San Juan Worm which is made
of a chenille. According to a friend of mine who fished there, the fly
worked like a magic. By the way British Columbia, Canada has the same name
river, which is famous for its coho salmon and stuff. No worm flies work
there.
This is not a "must" fly but fun to use sometimes.

アメリカにはサンワン・ワームというシェニールを使ったミミズ・フライが有名で、当地へ行った友人の話だと、馬鹿みたいに釣れるそうです。ちなみにカナダにも同じスペルでサンワン・リバーというコーホー・サーモンなどで有名な川がありますが、こちらではミミズの釣りはあまり成立しません。
必ずしも必要なフライではありませんが、たまに使うと楽しい一本です。 |
