Pheasant tail is extensively used at our tying studio, as it is one of
the best natural body materials. It looks so buggy and versatile but relatively
fragile. We prefer cross ribbing to protect the feathers. With the ribbing,
fibers tend to stay on the body, even if some parts come off. |

当工房ではフェザント・テールを多用します。その他、沢山のフライでグースなど様々な鳥のフェザーを使ってボディーを巻いています。その虫っぽさや美しさは言うまでもありませんが、あまり頑丈な材料とは言えません。そこで、リビングが行われますが、出来る限りファイバーとは逆巻きにして、補強をしています。仮に一部が千切れても、逆巻のワイヤー、ティンセルが押さえつけているため、全部が壊れることが少ないです。 |
