In the headwater areas some ants are washed out by the current and drifting
in the water. Even if we see no rises at all, some fish spit live ants,
which can indicate that they are feeding in the water. So We believe that
wet ant pattern is important. This is almost invisible in a dark creek
so some people want to use a strike indicator.
This body is made of the material which melts by heat over 65 degree Celsius.
Usually no problem at all but please don't store or leave them in a hot
place. In summer inside the car can be really hot so be careful.

アントは通常ドライ・フライが多いのですが、結構水中で捕食されているもので、重要なパターンと考えています。源流行などでライズが数時間さっぱりないのに、釣れた魚が食われたばかりと思われる元気なアリを吐き出すという現象から、そう思うようになりました。それと白泡の多いような激しい流れの川ではおそらく水中に引き込まれて溺れているアリが多数いて、魚にとっては水中のアリというのは自然なのではないかと思っています。ドライフライ特にパラシュートは大きなウイングが付いていて、水中に入ってしまうと全く本物とは似ていない見た目になってしまいます。本パターンのようなアリ・パターンは無駄なインジケーターなどがなく、自然です。
暗めの川ではほぼ見えないフライですので、インジケーターを使う方もいらっしゃいますが、慣れてくると、アップに投げてナチュラルドリフトでアタリを撮れるようになります。 |
