Haven't you used a beadhead fly which the bead slides backward and eventually
breaks the body after some casts? It may happen to big streamer flies which
you tend to cast a long distance.
It might not be important on small nymphs because the beads are small and
you don't cast long.
All our beadhead and conehead flies have secured bead or cone in our original
method. In the experiment, I hit the bead from front with a hammer but
bead never moves.
Never try this, as you might damage your vise. |

ビーズヘッドの付いたストリーマーを投げていたら、いつの間にビーズが重みで後ろにずり下がり、ボディーが破壊されたことはありません？そんな構造のフライは使ってはいけません。特に大きなビーズを振り回すと、キャスティングの度にビーズが後方に力を加えて、ボディーが壊れてしまいます。
小さいニンフの場合は遠投もしない為、あまり感じませんが、しっかりと固定することが大事です。
当店のビーズ、コーン・ヘッドフライは全て独自の方法でビーズは固定されています。画像ではハンマーで軽くたたいていますが、これぐらいでビーズが下がることはありません。当然、どんなに重いラインで高速で投げても、ビーズは動きません。
バイスに衝撃が掛かりますので、絶対に真似をしないでください。 |
